“Grenzgebiete – drüben! Childhood memories between East and West Germany“ – First exhibition opens! 23.05.2010, 23:43 h
The first exhibition of the 14th Erlangen International Comic Salon has opened in the Stadtmuseum Erlangen: “Grenzgebiete – drüben! Childhood memories between East and West Germany“. Twenty years after the Fall of the Berlin Wall claire Lenkova and Simon Schwartz present their new books “Grenzgebiete” and “drüben!”. Both Lenkova and Schwartz share the experience of living in both German states as children. And both of them tell very personal stories of fates and memories related to the division of Germany.
The exhibition is a coproduction of the Stadtmuseum Erlangen and the International Comic Salon and it is open until 11 July 2010.
Opening hours: Tue/Wed 9 a.m.–5 p.m., Thu 9 a.m.–1 p.m. and 5–8 p.m, Fri 9 a.m.–1 p.m., Sat/Sun 11 a.m.–5 p.m. (closed on Whit Monday, 24 May and on “Erlangen Day“, 25 May) – Special opening hours 3 to 6 June 2010: Thu/Fri/Sat 11 a.m.–7 p.m., Sun 11 a.m.–6 p.m.
